This week was Teacher Appreciation week for us and I thought I would share some of the fun things we did.
I went with a beach theme, I like to keep things themed.
We decorated the door
and the area they sits at for group time.
Friday Peanut brought all 8 of her teachers this cute mini lunch bag letting them know she would be bringing them lunch on Monday.
Monday we brought in this adorable lunch bag with chicken salad, a croissant, pasta salad and a brownie. For her main teacher she brought in a vase that would hold the flowers that her classmates were bringing in.
Tuesday the teacher was off...so were we!
Wednesday all of the students wrote the teacher a note or a poem. Peanut put hers in a bottle, its' the whole theme thing. Peanut also gave her this to-go coffee cup filled with whole beans and a gift card to Starbucks, the tag says "Thanks a Latte for all your hard work".
Tomorrow Peanut will bring in a beach bag to hold all of the items her classmates are bringing in, things that you would take the the beach of course! She is also giving all the teachers a bag of cookies. Not just any cookies but Monster cookies. The best cookies EVER, I'll post the recipe soon! The tag says "thanks for taking such good care of my little monster", the second tag is the recipe.
Friday she will bring her main teacher this cute little Chinese to go box. Inside are fortune cookies, a menu for the local Chinese restaurant and cash for dinner. The tag says "Peanut is fortunate to have you for a teacher".
We will also be giving the teacher the cash that was collected from the class. I brought a beach ball into the class on Tuesday and had each student write why they love and appreciate their teacher on the ball. I slit the ball open, filled it with the cash and then patched it. Cute huh?!!?
Teachers have our children longer than we do and do not get paid nearly enough! This is just a little way to say thanks. I got the idea for the lunch bags, latte and Chinese box from skiptomylou.blogspot.com. I want to make sure to give credit where credit is due!
Vacation starts in just a few hours!
I'm packed, had a nice dinner out with my girls, have everything organized and ready for my parents in our absence and have a splitting headache so I am off to bed!
I will be back Tuesday with all the details of the trip unless I find the time to make a quick post. I promise to catch up on all your blogs next week, I have been such a slacker the past week~sorry!
Seriously, have a great 6 days!
