Sum-Sum-Summertime!
Oh how I love summertime! It really is my favorite time of year!
So Kasey's question this week for Friend Makin' Monday is...
What are 10 of your favorite things about summer...
1. No alarm clocks! I love waking up whenever my body says it's time and having kids old enough to allow it! The alarm is in the drawer until school starts again the end of August!
2. Sitting around the pool while the girls swim. As long as they're not fighting I could sit out with them for hours!
3. Going to the beach. I love to pack up and head to the beach for the DAY! I could sit and listen to the crashing waves literally from sun up to sun down!
4. Having no schedule. Get up at 9~Sure. Stay in jammies til noon~why not. Lunch at 3~whatever. Movies at 7 ~no bed time so yes! I love to be spontaneous.
5. Summer fun days. I shared this last week but I love that each of us gets to put one activity a week in the jar. Since I always put BEACH in the jar it guarantees at least one trip a week!
6. July 4th. We usually have a big bash with lots of food, tons of fireworks, swimming and drinks for every age group. Nothing is better than celebrating this wonderful country and the people that serve it with good friends { and a margarita}!
7. My birthday. I share it with Honey and I love it. It totally takes the spotlight off of me which as fast as I'm approaching 40 that's a good thing! FYI, I turn 40 the same year she turns 16!
8. Peanuts birthday party. Her birthday is December 21 and we have always celebrated her birthday on June 21st, it totally solves the whole "we're broke and busy" thing. This year she wants to take a friend to a water park...easy!
9. Not having an alarm clock! I know i already said this but really I love my sleep and for the record if that littleshitcutie pie next door wakes me up before 8:30 again I'm gonna beat him!
10. Summer camp, I love this for more than one reason. It gives me a much needed break, being an SAHM these long days, as wonderful as they are, can be trying. I also love the chance to spend a little one on one time with each girl while the other is away. Peanut is gone right now { a little early this year for my taste} so Honey and I are "bonding" for the next 5 days.

How did you all end up picking June to celebrate Peanut's birthday, just wondering. :) Great list sounds like a relaxing, fun filled summer.

How are ya girl? Loved your list!! You know I'm so stinkin envious of your weekly trip to the beach! Sitting by the pool! Ugh...I really need a job to help my teacher hubby out! Then at least maybe a pool! Ha!

Oh how I love the beach!!! Oh how I don't live even close to one! We have a December 23rd birthday, and with the current one due on Christmas, we may have to start celebrating in the summer too! Sleeping late...I look very forward to that! The kiddos don't get out til' July 2nd!
Fabulous list! I love the idea of a summer fun list ~ that way, you know that everyone gets to do at least one thing they want during the week. it's great!
