It's a Red, White & Blue Flip Flop Frenzy

I love getting gifts in the mail but who doesn't right! I also love sending gifts. That's why being part of Mamarazzi's swaps are so much fun. She is very organized and very straight forward, two qualities I love! I have been part of her last two swaps and have to say I'm in for the next one too.

My partner this time happened to be someone that I have communicated with through my blog for months. I love meeting new people but getting to know someone a little better is just as much fun.

So my partner was Cadance at Our Life In Perfect Cadence. Can I just tell you how excited I was to be partnered with her! She's a real Mom not someone who just goes through the motions you can totally see the love for her children through her blog! She, like me, is still madly in love with her husband. And she is always good for my ego leaving me supportive and encouraging comments! Go say hi and check her out!

She was thrilled that it arrived on time, she had some complications at the post office, dontcha just love inadequate employees?!!?

The box was jammed with one thing better than the next and each item was tied with a white ribbon, of which my girls quickly took for their hair!

I did not take individual pictures...I know, I know, bad blogger! But this is what was in my box...
a handmade hand written card {such a lost art}
1 blue beach towel {perfect for the pool}
2 bags of the most delicious licorice I have ever tasted { I love me some black licorice}
a journal with a glass of red wine on the cover { I am a list maker}
2 bottle totes {perfect for transporting the ingredients of Mango Margaritas to friends houses}
Hawaiian Punch and diet Snapple to go packets {drinking one now, I hate plain water}
a Women's Day magazine {great recipes for Saturday}
1 pack of blue gum {hidden in my purse}
1 pack of red gum {quickly stolen by teen age daughter}
an American Flag window decal {placed on pool entrance door by 9 year old daughter}
red chap stick {perfect for the beach}
***deep breath***
3 cute little handled bags perfect for packing travel size shampoos and such {hidden from daughters in closet immediately}
seriously adorable white hoop earrings {taken in warp speed by teen age daughter}
blue, red and clear polish {painting nails tonight like American flags}

I know...you all want to me right now dontcha! Thank you Cadance for such a wonderful gift!

I also signed up to participate in a flip flop exchange with Becca over at The Texas Darlings. She put this together in lightning speed and with what seemed like complete ease. I love reading her blog, she's the Mommy to 3 beautiful children and is always doing something fun with or for them. I love that she met them at the bus stop the last day of school for a end of year celebration with posters and noise makers with the rest of the kids...what a cool Mom! If you haven't already go check her out!

There were an uneven number of participates so we weren't partnered up but I was lucky enough to have been assigned to Jenny at Jenny Kate's Spot. My flip flops came the day after the lightning strike and it was perfect timing. I so needed something to make me smile! Not only did she send me an adorable pair of flip flops but she also sent me a hat, which is perfect for windy days at the beach but some seasoning that I cannot wait to try out! Like Cadance she included a handwritten note. There's just something about a hand written note!

I love my new flip flops, I wore them last nigh out to dinner! Still no gas so that means still no cooking at the Seriously house. Thanks Jenny!

Things are on the mend here, obviously my Internet is back up and running, I will post pictures of the lightning damage tomorrow and my give away will be up soon as well!

Happy Thursday Y'all!

I lived in Texas and Oklahoma before making my home in NY. I can't believe that I just looked at your blog and saw something from Eskimo Joe's...Wow.

If you ever get a chance to have their cheese fries, you've got to do it. I'm sure Jenny has many times. And I need a hat like that...seriously.

Love it!
