I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!

So Honey will be attending her first Homecoming dance in just 10 days.

She has and appointment for her toes, nails, hair and the dress is hanging in the closet but we still need shoes, purse and jewelry. She is a girl that knows what she wants which typically is a good thing but not so much this time.

Zebra shoes with a red heel. A red Purse and a plain chunky rhinestone necklace and earrings.

OK. Let the games begin!

I have searched high and low for those freaking shoes and have failed miserably. I'm not a big EBay fan but finally conceded and went to take a look. Guess what? Yep, I found them, several designs as a matter of fact. BUT. Guess what? Yep, she didn't like any of them. "That one has a brown heel, that one has a gold buckle, that one has, that one has, that one has".

Now I understand that this is a right of passage that every girl deserves and that she truly feels that the world revolves around this dance, just as I did, so I'm trying my best to be patient with her just as my Mom was.

She did find a shoe that she loves, I do too and I plan on wearing it, but the heel is 4 1/2". I had her go get my highest heel and a ruler to show her just how high that really is. Although 4 1/2" doesn't seem to be that high when the heel is pencil thin it may as well be 8"! My heels are 3 1/2-4" and she can handle those, a wee bit wobbly but she does it. Her argument was, "really what's another 1/2"?" So I placed the order.

So I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that one,they arrive in time, two, they fit and three that she doesn't break her cute little neck in them!
