Welcome baby Alice! Her room is a combination of these colors in a bedding set from the ever so popular Pottery Barn Kids. I hope her Momma loves it as much as I do!
Peanut, my 10 year old little darling, is a wee bit anal. I mean that in the kindest of ways, really I do! She had been known to take things a little overboard from time to time. For instance, this year her teacher only wants her daily agenda signed on Thursdays. Why, I'm not exactly sure but that's her rule. Peanut is so worried that I'm going to sign it another day that she won't even let me see it until Thursday. I've given up asking, it just freaks her out and I am a Mom who chooses her battles! Because she's so anal she's even more concerned that I'll forget to sign it. This thought starts to consume her Wednesday during the bus ride home. It's such an issue with her that she has resorted to leaving me notes reminding me to either not sign it or to sign it. She has even gone as far as to leave herself a note reminding her that she left me a reminder note! Y'all may laughing and thinking it's cute but seriously, not so much! One of her favorite dinners is homemade chicken pot pie and since she's the only one to ever help me with the menu I oblige her whenever she asks, plus it's super easy and delicious! The worse part of making this dinner is boiling the chicken breasts. I have no clue why it forms this gross film/crust/nastiness on the side of the pan and top of the water, it's super nasty! Anyway, way off topic, last Wednesday she asked for CPP for dinner I was making it when I found this taped to the side of the cooling pot.
Homemade waffles with friends after a sleepover has become a tradition. Sadly, I believe my waffle press has seen it's last day. The best waffle mix ever? William - Sonomas blueberry!
{plain waffles, they look pretty but they're just not as good!}

My niece came in for my surprise 40th birthday bringing with her her boyfriend whom I had never met. I've seen pictures on FB and heard stories but was waiting to form my own opinion. Can I say if I was young and single I would date him, if it wasn't for the fact that he's with my niece and that's totally gross and inappropriate! Anyway, while they were here we went to Disney for the day. It rained, it shined, it rained some more but we made the best of it, after all we were at the happiest freaking place on earth! We went into a store in Toontown and I had them put on bride and groom ears. His face was simply priceless but what would happen in the next few minutes was even better! A Disney "DJ" was outside getting the crowd into a little dance party, because we were in Toontown it was of course kid music. When he asked who loved Miley Cyrus this huge, 6'4", man started jumping up and down yelling "ME, ME". Funny, but still not the best part of the story. The DJ then asked everyone to do the Hoe Down Throw Down, y'all he ran to my niece, held her by the arms, gently kicked her feet out from under her, placed her on the ground and proclaimed his victory in doing the "Hoe Down Throw Down". My bladder had not been tested like that in a very long time! The verdict's in Sammie, I love him!

That Alice sign is adorable!!!
And, hello, my little boy is in here and he just said your dog (deja on the sidebar) looks like the doggie from Beverly Hills Chahuahua. LOL
That is so freakin funny!
My Bubble is kind of the same way. If something needs to be done or signed in order for him to receive a prize the next day...I must sign it IMMEDIATELY, even if the closest writing utensil is a scrapbook pen. I've signed more than one thing in hot pink or orange sparkly ink...
I love that you tagged this as "random madness" b/c it's so fitting! Adorable sign (as usual). Peanut is hysterical and the boyfriend sounds that way too! (That tennis ball is all kinds of nasty though.)
I love the random. This is how my head thinks things too, so it is really nice when I know other people's heads think the same way.
