Who doesn't need a little get away? I know we always take advantage of time away whenever we can so when we were asked to head to the lake with friends during the girls spring break and Easter we jumped at the chance.
I am so blessed to have my parents so close and always willing to come and take care of their Grand-dogs when we want to leave. Thanks Mom & Dad!
We spent two days chillin' by the water, laughing, tubing, fishing and watching six girls play. It was such a wonderful time that when it was time to leave Peanut and her friends talked their parents into letting her stay with them for the rest of the week.
We went to a small town church for Easter service, did the egg hunt in bathing suits, the adults snuck out on the boat for an hour and then we shared a wonderful dinner together.
I'm back home and already three loads of laundry in. Honey has unpacked and repacked and is all ready to head to SC for the rest of the week with her bestie.
Yes, you read that right. Peanut stayed at the lake and Honey is leaving in a few hours. That means I will have no children until they return Wednesday and Thursday. What will I do?
My beautiful girls Easter Sunday
Alligators? What alligators?
Peanut knows the "golden" egg is always hidden in a tough spot! She was close but H was the winner.
While Honey just chilled, being the oldest by 3.5 years can stink sometimes! Thank heavens for data plans and iPhones!

I think we did a decent job of pointing out the real reason behind Easter for the boys....but we didn't have such a fabulous beach day! How fun!
FUN!! I'd love to spend some time near some water right now.
THANK YOU so much for the gift in the mail! They are perfect and the timing was awesome!
I kinda hate you a little bit for being able to spend EASTER on the water! As with the weather here in oklahoma, we were FLOATING away on Easter! LOL!
This rain has GOT to stop some time and bring us some BEAUTIFUL summer weather!!! LOL!
Glad you had fun!!!
Lovely! (What WILL you do with no kids...?)
Looks like you had a super weekend!
That looks like an awesome getaway. And yes the laundry sucks when you get home but definitely worth it.
I know what you're gonna do with no childrens but I won't tell on you.
I loved the pics of said childrens. Beautiful girls! Do they get that from their daddy?
I'm kidding! Love you xoxo
P.S. If you can tell me how much I owe you so I can mark you off my TO DO list, it would be very much appreciated. I think you said $30 + shipping but I've been wrong one or two times in my life...
Sounds like a wonderful Easter and I am very jealous of your few "kidless" days...ah well...the weekend and my little bday trip with TSGITW will be here soon. I love love love that you gave witness in your blog reminding us all that Christ is the real reason for Easter!
Your girls are gorgeous! Looks like y'all had fun at the lake! I'm jealous lol. We live an hour from the Outer Banks and it seems like we never go to the beach, which is nuts!
no kids for days? how exciting. looks like y'all had a lot of fun on your mini vacay.
Your girls are beautiful!
I got to do an Easter Egg hunt on the beach in Florida one year when we were visiting my sister. It was awesome!
Hope you enjoyed your week - wink wink.
