Miss Melanie, one of my new bloggy friends, has started a new linky, Favorite Things Thursday. This week she wants to know what my favorite current song is.
I love PINK! I wish she wasn't as foul mouthed as she is but I still love her music.
The first time I heard Perfect I fell in love. I so relate that song to my oldest daughter Honey. Honey is a beautiful girl both inside and out and has yet to recognize that. I pray that one day she will finally see herself as the rest of us do.
I will admit that I had no idea that there were two different versions of that song. I purchased her Greatest Hits...So Far album {do they still call them albums?. I set my iPod to shuffle, set off on a walk and couldn't wait for that song to come on. Boy did I get a surprise when it did! Did you know the real title of that song is F**kin' Perfect? I honestly had no clue. I need to go in to my account, delete that song and purchase the "clean version". The clean version, the one I heard and fell in love with on the radio, is so much better! I'm not saying I'm innocent of dropping the F-bomb from time to time, I'm not proud I'm just sayin' it happens. I just wish that Miss PINK would understand that she wrote a beautiful song and that it doesn't need that added noun {I think it's a noun the way she uses it...who knows}.
This video is awesome! I do need to however clarify that in no way does the video reflect my daughter, only the lyrics, she is perfect to me! If you have 4 minutes, please watch the video, it really is incredible!

I love Pink too! And wish she wasn't so "swearful" (that's a word my 4 year old made up to describe swearing a lot).
I think that song is fabulous, and really beautiful. The clean version that is!
OMG! I don't think the video fits the song - so not what I envisioned when I first heard the song! I also like this song, it does seem like a motherly song to send to the kiddos! Wasn't Pink prego when she wrote this?
i love this song. i saw this video for the first time a few weeks ago and i just think it's so great. it really adds so much to the song.

I love that song - never saw the vid - it was great - and I can totally relate - I think my daughter is PERFECT and I want to instill that in her now before she starts getting any insecurities!

LOOOOOVE Pink. When she first came out, I didn't know if she would make it ya know? Like would she make it professionally beyond a couple years or one hit wonder. She rocks!
That was awesome! I hadn't heard the song. Love the lyrics and totally agree. The F bomb is not necessary.

I love that song! I didn't know there was a clean version because I heard it on a pop chanel on Sirius and they don't edit much. That song (the clean version) reminds me of my sister. I wish she could see how perfect she is.
I have always loved Pink and her songs. I like that she is herself and didn't fall into the trap of being what other people wanted her to be.

I grew up in the projects and my family was on welfare. I have been that girl except for the slicing. Never felt that hopeless but I so recognize the rest.
