Yep, that would be me, the one standing there holding the universal Loser sign on my forehead because I haven't been to any blogs in over a week. All emails older than 2 days have been deleted. We are on day 4 of summer break and I have no ambition to do anything but sit on my ars poolside! Someone please tell me there's nothing wrong with that, QUICK!
This is what has been keeping me busy since clearly blogging has taken the back burner.
Warning, I am about to inundate you with pictures and my schedule, if this is not your thing I'll completely understand if you bail now!
The past 11 days remain to be somewhat of a blur but if I remember correctly it went a little something like this.
June 3rd- I was up and at Peanuts school by 6:30 AM {total love because I do not do mornings!}
for her class field trip. Twelve plus hours with 185 5th graders, their teachers and chaperone's all in matching shirts was super! I love a good cattle call.
Epcot in 95+ weather = good times.
I was lucky enough to have Peanut and her 3 besties in my group, I love those girls!
June 8th- Baby shower for Peanuts teacher and decorating for the 5th grade banquette, Adios Amigos, we're outta here!
June 9th - Was the awards ceremony. Peanut was recognized for achieving Principals honor roll all four quarters and having no behavior indicators for first through fith grade! It was also the 5th grade banquette where the kids were treated to a Mexican lunch and a huge ice cream sundae bar. Then two of the girls came to our house to swim.
Her big Sissy was there and not too happy at how fast her baby sister is growing.
Once again, it was the three four amigos.
I'm not so sure when they went from Little Mermaids to Bathing Beauties but I'm not ok with it!
June 10th- Marked the last day of school, the last day of elementary school to be exact. That was a hard pill to swallow, especially during the "clap-out". Tissue need to be provided to all parents {and big sisters} in attendance! It was also the "Summer is Here" pool party for Peanuts softball team {at our house from 1-5} and Honey's besties Surprise Sweet 16 party {at our house from 6-?}. What was I thinking?!!?
Students, teachers and family line the sidewalk as the 5th graders take one last walk through their school.
It is total craziness!
Daddy left work to be there and of course Honey was there, she tries her best to not miss anything involving her sister {I think she was more upset than I was}.
Peanut also had to say good-bye to her very best friend, {she moved to Texas Monday morning}. This is when I became emotional, watching them say good-bye was so hard!
Ice cream sundaes for the team.
Poor Max {one of the two little brothers} he didn't have a chance!
A quick change of decorations took us from little girl to big girl!
Thirty plus 16 and 17 year olds {one who wore a g-string speedo} totally tested my abilities and patience! Thank God they're good kids...for the most part.
June 11th and 12th- Was spent in the extreme heat at a softball tournament where Peanut played her best games ever!
Clearly she was safe with that picture perfect slide!
Another run scored!
Honey was so tired she took a nap during one of the games! I so would have curled up next to her if I could have!
I think I have finally caught my breath. My house is almost clean and the summer schedule is in full swing. You know the one, where you stay up as late as you want, sleep in as late as you want, swim as much as you want, go to the beach as much as you want and make last minutes plans! Oh how I love summer!
