If you've been around here for any length of time you know that we are very involved with softball, travel softball for Peanut to be exact. It takes up every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday night for practice and 2 weekends a month we travel for 2 day tournaments. It a huge family commitment especially since Babe is the head coach. Honey is so very busy living the life of a typical 17 year old but she makes the time to come and watch, support and cheer on her baby sister.
This past weekend we all stayed together in one hotel room {early games with an hour plus drive are not fun}which was a ton of fun considering we are all accustomed to our own big beds, well ventilated rooms and more than 1 bathroom. Waking up to the sound and smell of dinner escaping from my husbands ass and waiting for him to get out of the bathroom so we could do our hair and makeup all while standing in his stench was not the best part of the weekend I assure you! Note to self...do not allow that man to eat Mexican and drink more than 2 beers the night before being trapped with him in a 20x20 room with no functioning windows!
This was the first tournament of the new year and hopefully it was just a taste of what's to come. The girls played very well, winning 3 of their 6 games and taking home the Runner Up trophy! Peanut also took home a MVP t-shirt, she played amazing all weekend but had a standout game 5, she totally earned that $3 t-shirt!

Here's a video I put together just for Peanut, I know it's a team sport but this is MY blog and My video of My daughter making the game winning play so I will not apologize! The one I made for the team is super cool. It's on YouTube and is of all of the girls, I showed no favoritism on that one. I do however need to apologize in advance for my obnoxious voice, the way I draw out the word nniiiiiiiccce and the shrill that comes from deep inside when she makes the catch. You.Have.Been.Warned.

Sweet!!! As you should be proud!! I'm the same way with my daughter's competition gymnastics. We have to cheer for our own kids... who else is going to do it like we will?
