Now that Monday is in the rear view mirror I have my sights set on Tuesday, the best blogging day of the week my friends! Why? Because my ever so funny Captain drinking friend IA and I co-host Talk To Us Tuesday that's why. TTUT is our rule free weekly meme where you get to talk to us about whatever 's on your mind.
Today is also the day I link up with Emmy for her monthly Ten Things to Smile About meme. It only happens once a month but it's yet another reason why I love Tuesdays! I've posted several pictures from March already and I'd hate to bore you with more of the same so this month I'm making my list semi-short, sweet and to the point.
Here 10 the things that made me smile in March...
1. Bringing out my Spring decor.
2. Celebrating a birthday with a very special 4 year old.
3. Knowing that there's only 12 weeks {just 12 more Tuesdays} of school left. I cannot wait to turn the alarm clock off for 9 weeks!
4. Learning that I'm not an alcoholic. I was convicted to give something up for 3 weeks during our church fast and I chose alcohol. I have made it 12 days and I have not broken out in cold sweats or had intense bouts of vomiting. I have however had an increase in peanut butter and honey consumption. I'm not sure a healthy liver is a good trade for a fat ass! I'm not gonna lie, I'm having a Patron margarita, on the rocks, no slat with a shot of olive juice in 9 days.
5. Being able to do cool things with Honey outside of softball like the sidewalk chalk art festival.
6. Going to see the midnight premiere of The Hunger Games with my girls and Babe!
7. Watching my husband coach Peanuts softball team temper free. I think he has finally grasped the fact that he is working with 11 & 12 year old, hormonal girls!
8. Watching the countdown on my side bar tick away the days, hours and minutes until I get to hang with my bloggy besties in California!
9. Dancing With The Stars. I don't watch much TV but I love DWTS, I smile from start to finish every week. I'm also a Packer fan so watching Donald Driver get his groove on is a bonus!

Two fun parties one day...come on I know ya wanna join in on the fun!

aww Janette is the sweetest! :-) Love that sign!
Wow, did Honey draw that?! That is so freaking beautiful.
I'm sooo jealous of your trip. I hope you guys have a great time. I still have this ridiculous hope that you will somehow get rerouted to Northern Cali and be forced to spend one day with me. :-) wishful thinking!
I'm so glad you're not an alcoholic! Phew!!
But seriously, love your list. And every time I see you post about your seasonal paperware, I think "that is an awesome idea, I should do that." But I have yet to do it.
But I really love it!!
Seriously? 9 weeks?? That would be awful. The kids here get out for 13 week. Okay wait. that's way worse.
That sign is seriously awesome! :)
How funny - the count of the weeks is exact opposite here...Princess Nagger gets out of school in 9 weeks (and 2 days) and goes back 12 weeks after that. :)
A California trip would be so fun - I hope y'all post lots of pictures so we can live vicariously through you. ;)
Warrior Cats Easter, Monsuno Obsession, Honeymoon Wine, Fairy Hobmother
Yes, learning you aren't an alcoholic really is good;. :) Also, Hunger Games was pretty awesome, right?
I gave up diet soda for Lent one year and almost died. I feel your pain!
Can't wait to see Hunger Games this weekend!
And that sign is too cute. Janette is the BEST!
I love what Janette sent you, too cute!
I love that sidewalk chalk art.
lurker emerging here lol....did Honey draw that sidewalk drawing? I love your German Shepherds, I have a two year old GS. I enjoy your blog, but I hardly ever comment anywhere.
I'm hoping my husband would agree to me taking Jennifer Lawrence's place in that picture. He'd probably be ok if in exchange I got to magically have my body look like hers :) Those boys are eye candy! But can't believe Liam dates Miley Cyrus...she drives me crazy. I digress. Love your list!!
That sign is adorable and I love sidewalk art, it's so realistic and beautiful. And yay for the alcohol fast. I should try it, well, I do try it. Then I find myself carrying a bottle of wine through the grocery store. LOL
Thanks for being here for me!
That sign is adorable! How perfect. Wasn't Hunger Games awesome? I saw a shot from the red carpet and the kid that plays Peeta is actually really short! But never would have known it in the movie.
That chalk drawing is amazing!
Thanks so much for linking up with me
Turbo's out of school the Friday before Memorial Day, which happens to be his birthday. And this year he doesn't go back to school until after Labor day. Long summer for us here.
You've got some awesome things to be happy about.
I have not ONE SINGLE Easter/spring decoration setting out YET. I'm way too lazy to figure out a spot for that shiz. My inlaws will be here Saturday. I'll let her do it!
I know that adorable 4 year old! I saw her on fb too!
I'm so proud of you for giving up your beloved alcohol for 3 weeks. Maybe you should have given it up for Lent.
I saw some pics on fb or instagram of that art festival. It's so incredible!
The countdown is ON like DONKEYKONG! It will be here so quickly!!!!! I hope time slows down while we're there!
Donald is kinda sexy huh? I love a little chocolate eye candy!
Janette sent several people a little happy mail. Isn't she the sweetest? I'm loving that sign!
Thanks for linking up with us! ;) HAHHAHA! I'm funny.
We're huge fans of DWTS, too! Donald Driver did a nice job last night.
Wow, did you draw that cool sidewalk chaulk artwork? I'm totally impressed.
Thanks for hosting!
Wow that sidewalk art is amazing!
How cute is the monkey party...great cake, and I love how everything matches.
Cute sign! Janette is the sweetest!
I will be enjoying a Texas Martini or two or three in Cali with you - do you think we can find a place that can make them or should we just make them ourselves????
~Becca
Those are all definitely things to smile about. I've been craving peanut butter and honey too!! It's been an intense craving too, haha. And good for you for giving up alcohol! It's definitely a nice feeling knowing we can go without it and not have withdrawls! Happy Tuesday! :)
What a sweet birthday photo! I love the theme!
You gave up alcohol and you're still sane? You are a strong woman.
The first hour of DWTS now interferes with Psych, which we all love. We don't have TiVo here in Germany, so we had to make a choice. Curses!
I so want to see the Side Walk Chalk thing! And I love DWTS too. I have to say I was uber excited to see Steve Eurkle (errr Jaleel White) on there!
I love ya girl.. thank you for my lil' grassy arse thank you card too!!
I love chalk art-- I love those ones I've seen on the web that look 3D-- they are so crazy talented!! I can barely draw on Draw Free on my phone! I never knew why people were anxious for summers-- but not having an alarm would be a nice thing to look forward to! xoxo
That Janette is a sweetie...seriously! ;) Ca-UTE sign!
Seeing that Austin pic makes me so happy...such supah fun memories! Can't wait to make more in Cali!
Was HG amazing or what?!?! OMG. I need to see it again.

That sign was so sweet!! She's too sweet. :)
LOVE your list and your top picture cracks me up...it's not a holiday until Shawn gets her decorative/seasonal plates and napkins out!! Seriously! :)
I think I might be an alcoholic. I drank 4 bottles of wine in 3.5 days at my in laws house!!
Can't wait to see Huntington Beach with you in it!
