Framed sentiments

Several weeks back Colleen with Cheap Wine & Cookies linked up a dry erase frame idea with Talk To Us Tuesday. I've seen this before on Pinterest but hers spoke to me, I decided right then that I must make one.

I'm using it as a way for my family to find something nice to say about one another. Trust me with three hormonal "woman" in one house we need to focus more on the nice and a little less on the bitchy! My idea is that the frame will travel person to person and room to room at least once a week.

I introduced the frame last week, I wrote something the entire family could benefit from and set it in the kitchen. It read...
THINK before you speak. Is what you're about to say...
T- truthful?
H- helpful?
I-inspirational?
N-necessary?
K-kind?

Good stuff right?

Yesterday it was moved to Honeys room. Why Honey first? My parents best friend was diagnosed with lung cancer about 3 weeks ago, it was advanced, it was large, and it was angry. He came home from the hospital Friday and was forever healed yesterday morning at 2:10 and is now living pain free with the Lord.

Honey loved him, he loved Honey. She visited him as soon as he was home and again yesterday. She sat with my parents, not willing to leave their side, for hours watching something I don't think I could have. She showed strength, courage, grace, compassion, and love and I couldn't be more proud!

I wrote her this note and set it in her room.

She certainly is a special person, beautiful both inside and out and full of so many wonderful attributes, things most adults will never posses.

This girl of mine continually amazes me!

To make your own dry erase board just purchase a frame of your choice, cut a piece of paper to fit, embellish it if desired then write directly on the glass with a dry erase marker. Write~Wipe~Repeat.

If you have a quote that you'd like to share please send it to me I'd love to start a catalog of ideas!

Oh no. I'm so sorry for the loss of such a close family friend. Cancer sucks ass. We have a 4 year old family member that is battling brain and spinal cancer right now. He has a 20% chance of being here at Christmas. We are so sad.

Ok, I'm glad I'm seeing this post. It clears up the reason that JennyKate was linked up this week but the link took me to Cheap Wines TTUT post from 2 weeks ago! Mystery solved!!! =)

What a beautiful thing Honey did. She really is amazing! So sorry for your loss.

I love the frame. I have two dry erase boards in our house-one is a calendar in the entry way, and one is our weekly dinner menu. Maybe I need a nice quote one for the bedroom.

Found this quote and I love it!
1. Start each day with a grateful heart.
2. Focus on the positive aspects of every person you encounter.
3. End each day with a grateful heart.

I love it! And I'm sorry she had to witness that, even if it did make her stronger!

I have some great quotes, I'll have to send you a list!

Hope you had a wonderful Easter!

Yours is (not at all surprisingly) prettier than mine! Thanks for the link.

Your girls are so amazing. Such a sweet way to use the frame.
