TTUT~ a bit of a tangent

Welcome to TTUT the weekly meme I co host with the traveling IA, I hope you're here to join in on our no rules Tuesday fun.

Are you watching the Olympics? I love watching almost everything, I'm still a little miffed that bb-gunning (is that what you call it?) is considered a sport and softball is not but I'll get over it I guess. I'm actually watching men's gymnastics as I type on the iPad hoping they'll pull it together soon, it's not looking too promising.

The woman's gymnastic team, which I feel awkward even saying since the average age is 11, makes me sad. What's with this stupid new rule where only 2 girls from each country can progress to the overall finals? It's the overall finals not the top two competition. It broke my heart to watch Jordyn Weiber sob while still trying to be happy for her teammates. Such a sucky, sucky rule!

Can I transition to the beach now? It's my tangent....

Etiquette, beach etiquette to be exact is important to me. It's really not all that hard, it's common courtesy really, but due to more than a few asshats I about punched several people in the throat this past week. The top 3 most often broken and in my opinion important rules are as follows.

1. Do not feed the birds. They are flying rats and if given the opportunity they will steal your food and shit on you simultaneously.

2. Do not smoke! It's called second hand smoke people and it's no bueno!

3. Shake your towel upwind or at your car. Chewing on sand offers no health benefits whatsoever. I love the beach but hate being sandy!

Nail polish, I'm all over the place I know, but again it's my tangent...

I love having an accent nail so I decided to bring one to my toes too. I also really love the nail effects by Sally Hansen, such an easy way to jazz things ups. This peach and cheetah combination is one of my favorites!

What do you think?

Peanuts team did excellent on day one of the World Series, very well on day two but sadly day three was a different story. It was a great experience and it turned into a wonderful vacation!

Honey comes home Friday, it's been so quiet without her around. I wonder how long it will take for the sisters to start fighting, you know the sisters that have been so loving on FB and via text. Anyone want to place a bet?

Feeling a little random or like going off on a bit of a tangent? TTUT is the perfect place to be then. Link up and we'll do the best to come by and say hi!

I concur on your top 3 beach etiquette rules - why must people break those rules?

LOVE your nail polish - I especially love your accent nails. :)

Glad even though Peanuts team didn't do so well on day three that you were able to enjoy the time as a vacation.

Yay for Honey coming home on Friday! :)

Beach smokers are so rude!

And I love the nail polish!

I also hate it when they have the whole entire beach to sit on and they decide to come and sit so close to you they might as well share your food/conversation.

You are right, the nails are cool!

LOL those are my top 3 beach annoyances too! See also: be courteous about your dress. Not everyone should wear a bikini; just sayin'! Happy Tuesday.

The US dominates in gymnastics and was the only team that ever won the in softball so they have to "make it fair" for the others. it sucks to be so good at everything.

Hehe...we feed the gulls. It's a kid thing. But we try to move away from where people have congregated, like the dunes, so people aren't bothered.

Yeah, some of the newer Olympic rules seem awful. Some of these athletes have been preparing their entire lives for this, only to get shut out. Sad.

Really love the nail polish.

I'll say a day and a half before the girls start fighting LOL

I saw someone post about the gymnastics rule the other day, but they had posted "county" instead of "country." Duh... now I get it. And you're right - that rule sucks!

I agree with your beach rant - I especially LOVE when they put their cigarette's out in the sand (our beach is a no-smoking beach ANYWAY) or when they walk past you in their flip flops and fling sand EVERYWHERE. Learn to walk in the sand in flops or take them off!!

We get to the beach so rarely here in our land locked state, but I can see where those things would be annoying.
I give them about half a day--you know time to appreciate that they are back together and time for the annoying things about being back together to flare up. Of course, I may be optimistic.

Love your beach etiquette rules, if only everyone would follow them. My worst complain about the beach is the amount of sand you accidentally bring home.
Love your nails! Do mine next? ;)
Have a fabulous week!

I almost cried with Jodryn. So stupid. And not fair. Something to think about as my daughter gets older and becomes interested in sports! The nail polish cheetah and peach go very nicely together. I have had my toenails unpaintrd one day since 7th grade. I'm almost 33... I actually blogged about my obession! Happy tuesday and thanks for hosting!

That new rule for women's gymnastics makes me so mad too! She was the 4th best in the entire thing but will not be able to compete because only two get to go- that just sucks!

My kids never feed the birds- they chase them, even Ryder was getting in on the action chasing them with one of the sand toys the other day- he almost got one :)

I was looking at those nail things the other day! Seriously cute! How long do they hold up?

I totally refuse to get sucked into the olympics... is that un american or what....

ugh, I hate second hand smoke! I'm ready for it to be completely illegal. I don't care who that pisses off!

I should watch the Olympics more but I'm distracted by blogging and work stuff. I do love watching sports I only get to see once every 4 years.
That's insane that softball isn't considered a sport!

Great job to Peanut in the world series. How's her arm? Hopefully the sisters won't fight too much. I don't have much experience with sisters...but my sis in law is the closest I have to one, and she definitely gets on my last nerve on vacation!!

You're spot on with your 3 beach rules, and I am sorry the World Series didn't pan out how you wanted. Oh well. :( (BTW, I am not cool enough to rock an accent nail, but it looks great on you.)
