Is it 5 truths and a lie...or is it 5 lies and a truth?

I'm not sure which is which but since Mimi was more official and actually tagged me and...AND...she gave me an award to go with it I'm going with 5 lies and a truth.

Here's the deal, you're supposed to figure out which one of the below statements is the truth. You can tell me your guess via comment or email me personally {srmt1970@gmail.com} if you prefer to keep your answer from other readers. The first person to get the correct answer is the winner and may or may not earn a little sumthin', sumthin' in the mail from me!

I know what you're saying "another lucky reader is going to get something in the mail from Shawn?" and the answer is YEP! It's February, the month of LOVE, and I'm feeling generous!

There are however rules.

1. If you share the same DNA as me, or are close enough that we would give each other a kidney than you can only comment via email and will only be gifted with the knowledge that I love you!

2. If you have the correct answer and just put it out there..."# whatever is true"...and someone else goes the extra mile to add more meat to their comment or if they happen to make me laugh than I reserve the right to choose the winner as I see fit.

Mkkay Pumpkins!

** Ok the longer I sit here trying to make up lies that are believable the more I understand why IA did it the way she did. So, this has now been edited to be 5 truths and a lie. Can you find the lie?**

1. I stole a Christmas Tree. But, BUT it was for a friend who was going to go through Christmas with no tree because she couldn't afford it and being the caring, broke, stupid and very young friend that I was I did what had to be done to give her a Merry Christmas!

2. I have gained 15 pounds which means nothing but my Juicy bottoms and yoga pants fit. I am officially heavier than I have been in 3 years! I will be working my butt off, literally I hope, between now and our upcoming BBF weekend in Dallas!

3. While sharing some "quality time" with my husband in the backseat of his car in the parking lot of Bed Bath & Beyond the car alarm went off sending me into complete panic mode. Can you say mood breaker?

4. I was in a bicycle accident when I was in the 2nd grade and lost my 4 front teeth, 2 of which were adult teeth. I would spend the next 8 years battling a rapidly growing mouth, braces, the awkward tween years and the torment of my schools mean girls!

5. Babe and I spent a week in the beautiful mountains of Montana with several other couples from his company. One of our activities was a guided hike through the woods that surrounded Yellowstone National Park. While we were literally in the middle of no where we crossed the path of a huge grizzly bear. Thank God no one was hurt but do y'all know how close I came to being mauled by a bear?!!?

6. Babe and I were out with a group of our best friends. Someone said or did something funny I fell to the floor laughing and peed my pants. My bladder completely emptied on the floor. In a public place. I had to make the walk of shame to the car and sit on grocery bag on the way home. The only up side was...well, yeah there wasn't one!

And because I am a rule follower...

I have to tag 5 people to play along. This is a fun tag {it could have been even more fun without certain readers, I would hate to loose my favorite daughter status or send my children to counseling} so I'm encouraging you all to participate, if you do please come by and let me know so I can come check out your "truth or lies"!

3. Becca

Thank you Mimi for this lovely award! I plan on having it framed where it will sit in my office next to Santa!

Awards ~ no clever title here, sorry

Who loves awards? Better question who doesn't?

Mimi over at Living in France has given me some awards and I didn't even have to pay her very much or them!

So here are my new shinny awards...

...so cool, I know!

These awards came with rules, the nerve of Mimi attaching rules! I don't like rules but for whatever the reason I must follow them. That shocks most people but I really am a rule follower!

I have to list 10 things about myself for one of them and 7 for another. Like Mimi I'm adding them together and then subtracting 7. Such difficult math, try to keep up. So here are 10 things that you may or may not know about me and that you may or may not be completely scarred for life after reading!

1. Not a day goes by that I don't pee myself. Some days I just dribble, others I full fledge PEE myself. And yes it has happened in public. I'm just too chicken to go to the urologist to have my bladder fixed. Somehow wetting my pants in public is not as bad as seeing the doctor or having him see me, whichever. There's absolutely no logic to that I know!

2. I love the way my dogs paws smell. Gross. Weird. Disturbing. You betcha but I still love it! **sniff-sniff**

3. My teeth are perfect. My teeth are straight. My teeth are white. My teeth are fake! Yep the front 6 are not mine thanks to a tragic accident while rock climbing in Utah bicycle accident when I was in the 2nd grade.

4. I went to beauty school and high school at the same time. My goal was to work at a salon while getting my degree in physical therapy {I wanted to work with handicapped children}. I graduated beauty school and loved it. I met Babe and loved him. I never went to college! My girls however WILL GO!

5. This beautiful black dress...
required the girls to be taped in place. The tape irritated my skin. My girls itched uncontrollably forcing me to take Benadryl for DAYS leaving me in a constant drunken, sleepy stupor! I want and need a freaking boob job!

6. I would rather be home curled up on the couch with my husband watching a chick flick then anywhere else.

7. I am very opinionated and outspoken, there is no grey area with me. However, I will avoid confrontation at all cost!

8. At the risk of really pissing "someone" off, I still find this beyond fun-nay! No, I do not know this person. Yes, we were are a semi-formal event. Yes, those are sparkly, multi-colored, star boots. No, it wasn't a Halloween party! No, I did not take the picture. Yes, I knew it was being taken. Yes, I think you're lame if you don't think that is some seriously funny shit!

9. I weigh myself every morning. If I've eaten like a heifer during the day I'll weigh again at night, subtract 2-3 pound for "water weight" and then beat myself up for being a fat pig! I can easily gain 5 pounds over the weekend and wish I could embrace my inner fat girl, I think she's more fun than me! I'm being fun today, I baked monster cookies and ate a running ton of the dough and 2 cookies! **PUKE**

10. A few things about Face Book. 1.) I find it beyond creepy when someone that I have not spoken to, thought of or seen in 15 years "looks" for me! What in the world would possess someone after all these years to say "hey, I wonder what Shawn is doing now". 2.) If we weren't friends back in the day why do you want to be my friend now?
3.) Since I hate confrontation, I will not deny your friendship request but I will not hit ignore either, you will sit in what I call purgatory forever. If I have accepted your friendship the previous does not apply to you;). 4.) I'm glad you like playing with the cows and tractors on farmville, it's super that you just killed someone while playing Mafia Wars, your high score on Bejewled is very impressive but I really could care less. There, I feel better now that I've stated my FB pet peeves!

I'm supposed to pass these along but I'm feeling like a rebel rule breaker today, maybe it's the cookie dough, I'm not sure. If you want one or all of these awards and you honestly believe you deserve them then consider it a gift from me!

Happy Thursday Y'all!

I would like to thank the Academy...

No for real I am very taken back by all of the smart ass comments loving things y'all are saying about me!

Apparently I have made a few of you spit food from your mouth, blow wine from your nostrils, choke on your hot morning coffee and run down the stairs to use the bathroom. Is there any compliment better than any of those?!!? I.Think.Not!

So I have been given two awards today! One would seriously think I was breaking the bank in payments but since the bank is beyond broke, hubby is in the car business~ OUCH, I guess I've actually earned these awards.

Award #1 came from Jen at Harried Mom of Four. Can I just be honest with you? If I were a Mom of four my blog title would be Harry Mom of Four. Seriously, when does this wonder woman of a Mom find the time to bath let alone shave? I'm just saying I would be one Bohemian hairy beast! And I so would have a catheter because going to the bathroom four times an hour I'm thinking would not be an option! With a bladder the size of a pea that's life for me or this happens.

So, thanks Jen for this beauty of an award!
I will pass this honor onto these Super Bloggers:

Heidi at Sacred and Profane -Another Mommy to more than 2 kids. Seriously, do you people not know how that happens?
Debi at Girlzasoulsista I love this girl, never a dull moment when out with her!
Tanielle at The Polka Dot Daisy-Super Momy? You betcha ya!
Natalie at The Brocks Rock This is my "in-real-life" friend! (7 days baby!)
E at Swoon- she's always just so sweet! I aspire to be this nice all of the time.

Award #2 is from a seriously sassy and very pregnant Texan. I bet she has big ol' Texas hair that she only tames down for the pictures she puts on her blog! Becca from The Texas Darlings gave me the Splash Award. Oh how I love me a little Prince Eric so this one I will definitely cherish. For those of scratching your head trying to figure out who Prince Eric is that must mean you have boys or live under a yet to be discovered by Disney rock. Eric is the hottie from Little Mermaid, duh!

She gave me this award because she thinks my blog is alluring, amusing, bewitching, impressive, and inspiring. Most of those words can be used after seeing me naked too! **wink ~ wink**

I guess what sucked her in is that you just never know what you're gonna read here. Ya know, I like to mix things up a bit. One day you may get a heart felt post with an invitation to join me at church and the next I'm telling you all about how I peed my pants in freaking Jo-Ann Fabrics. Whatevah y'all, I'm just keeping it real, just keeping it real!

I love this award, it holds a special place in my heart since I modeled for the picture and all. I know, I know I have an amazing waistline and incredibly perky boobies! Don't hate me because I'm beautiful!

I will share this award with:

Andrea from My Chihuahua Bites- We are so hanging out in December!
Dandelion Wishes- always an uplifting and inspirational post!
Jen at Harried Mom of Four- anyone that parents 4 with a traveling husband is an inspiration!
Kasey at All that is Good- without her Friend Makin' Mondays just wouldn't be!
Kelley at The Lawerences- she's a newly wed come on, how sweet is is that?!!? And she leaves me nice comments :~)

Well there you have it! If I did not share an award with you and you really want it and deserve please let me know, in 500 words or less, and I will certainly send it your way! No, seriously if you want it, take it, what's mine is yours!

Ladies you know the rules, post about your award and then share it with as many bloggers as you want!

Happy Wednesday Ya'll!

Grateful, yes that's me!

Vivienne at the V-spot has given me the ever so beautiful lemonade stand award. I am already the proud owner of this award but since it has been given to me again I without doubt need to share with you how it came to be mine.

I found Vivienne a few weeks back or she found me ~ whatever. You know the drill, we're never really sure how these things happen but they do and now we're long lost BFF'S. No for real this chick is super funny and shares my love for Patron, we would so be a couple of drunk Mommies if we lived close!

For some reason she has read between the lines of my smart mouthed sometimes racy blog and sees some resemblance of gratefulness here at Seriously-Shawn. I hate to be a disappointment so with no further ado...off we go.

I am to share with you a couple of things I am grateful for so in no particular order here they are.

*I am grateful for the very uncomfortable roll that is hanging over my jeans making it nearly impossible for me to take a deep breathe right now because it means I just had a great meal with my family and wonderful friends.

*I am grateful for this calamity I live in. Some people would call it too much, I know I often do, but in spite of the yelling that I hear right now from one daughter to the other it means my girls are healthy and here with me. They may not see the light of tomorrow but for right now they're here.

This picture is old but I promise nothing has changed!

*I am certainly grateful for my hot hubby, the one I have loved since the first time I saw him in September of 1986. The one that always sees the car at a dead stop in front of us while he's driving at warp speeds, after all he drives every day without my assistance therefore he does not need my help when I am in the car with him.
* I am grateful for my filthy dirty house because it means I have had fun all weekend with my family and have not stolen that time from them to clean.

*I am grateful for my dogs, this is Deja, and McDonald ice cream. Yes we are sharing an ice cram cone but I promise she stayed on her half! Beside this way I only had to claim half the calories!

*I am grateful for alcohol because without I would be a very sad and lonely lady. I am also beyond grateful for my Xanax connection because without her I would be a complete blubbering idiot! Thank you MLM, you are my life saver and I love you more than you will ever know!

*I am grateful to all of my girlfriends who put up with all of the above. They do it because they love me and honestly I'm not so sure why they do. They could walk away at any given time and yet they don't. They call me when I need the phone to ring, they drop me a note in the mail when I feel like all there ever is are bills in there and a gift with a love note usually shows up when I feel all alone, their timing is always perfect. These girls pick me up when I cannot stand alone. They would raise my girls if I could not and if I were in a coma they would never, ever, ever let my womanhood grow out of control!

Now I'm supposed to pass this along to 10 deserving bloggers. Since I have already done that I'm just going to say this, if you're grateful for anything and want to share with the rest of us what it is grab this sassy little button and make a post all about it. Please make sure you let me know if you are because I want to read all about it!

Have a wonderful night, now go be grateful about something!

100th post winner~Award~and FMM

**100th Post Winner**

OK I know you all have been sitting around with baited breath longing for this awesome contest to end so you could see if you're the lucky winner.

RIGHT?

If not just humor please people!

I had more entries than I anticipated and through those entries I have made some new friends. A great big WELCOME to all of my new followers and an even bigger thank you to all of my "old" followers that plugged me shamelessly on their blogs!

So there were 23 people that signed up to play with me and from those 23 people came 65 entries.

I did have 2 of you earn 5 entries, the most possible, so I have decided to send you a gift as well. Ya know, cuz that's how I roll.

So I used random.org at mid-night last night the winner is... Mandy!  I have contacted her and she has decided to have her frame be a 1st birthday frame for her most adorable son Thomas. I will post pictures as soon as she has received her package, I would hate to ruin her surprise.

The additional winners are Kasey & Kim. These two ladies each earned 5 entries in the contest. They left me a comment, they are both current followers, they left me a huge shout-out on their blog with a link, and they guessed my word as SERIOUSLY!

Thanks for playing along, I hope if you signed up for the contest you will come back often.

**AWARD**

Xazmin at This Is The Year has given me an award. She thinks my blog is fabulous! Guess what so do I, but not for the "full of myself" reasons you may be thinking. My blog is fabulous because through it I have met all of you! It is way for me to keep up with my friends and family who I don't get to see or talk to very often, it's a way for me to meet new friends and it's an outlet for my sarcasms, frustrations, and sometimes my anger.THANK YOU XAZMIN!

I need to pass this fabulous award onto some fabulous people, so here we go.

1. Lissa at Whoos That Girl- this chick is funny and totally real. I completely believe that we would so be real life friends if given the opportunity!

2. Debi at GirlzASoulSista- this is without doubt the funniest lady I have ever had the privilege to call my friend!

3. Natalie at The Brocks Rock-without her my life would be horribly dull~ I LOVE YOU FRIEND!

4. This may be against the rules but I am giving my last award to Amy ~Danielle and Sheila. These ladies do not have a blog but they are seriously fabulous still the same! They read my blog (and others), comment on my blog and are nothing less than FABULOUS woman. Now go out and make a freaking blog will ya!

**Friend Makin' Monday**

Want to play along go visit Kasey for all of the rules~ it will be fun I promise!

This weeks FMM challenge...10 things I am super thankful for.

1. I am of course super thankful for my God. Isn't he amazing! I know I would be so lost if it were not for His unconditional love and the endless amount of forgiveness and grace he gives me DAILY!

2. I am super thankful for my hot husband who drives me incredibly insane, does things that make me madder than mad and then make me forget all about them (usually~I'm still waiting this time) with the sweetest act of love and kindness, like wearing a Twilight shirt because he knows his "girls" will love it!

3. I am of course super thankful for my two beautiful daughters! They too drive me completely insane but my world would stop without them!

4.  I am super thankful for my extended family. I love my parents, my siblings and their spouses, my nieces and nephews, my great-nephews, my MIL, FIL, BIL, SIL and my cousin and her sweet children. Do you know what a blessing it is to be able to have a mixture of these people together at any given time and for them to get along?

5. My girlie-friends. They so keep me in check. They bring me down a notch or two when needed and lift me up when I've been beaten. I so love me some girlfriends!

6. I am super thankful for my freedom. Look around us people, we so take this for granted. There are men and woman dying for us everyday to give us the freedom that we have. Thank you to those in uniform and thank you even more to those that share their loved ones with us. I know I could not be a military wife and the thought of one of my girls fighting across the seas...no way!

7. My home. I have a beautiful home that I hope and pray is a safe place for my children. It's a place full of laughter when our friends are over standing around the island in the kitchen eating way too much yummy food. Thank you Babe for giving me the privilege of staying home to take of of our home!

8. I am super thankful for the health of my daughters. I have the honor of knowing some Mothers who have buried their children. Let me just tell you what amazing woman these are! I would not have a sliver of the strength and faith that these ladies posses. As I have seen their hearts shatter into a million pieces I am beyond thankful for the health of my girls!

9. I am super thankful for Mondays. This is my day to stay quite, no phone(usually) no TV no music, no fighting girls. This is my day to wake up slow, enjoy a cup of coffee and then roll up my sleeves and clean up the evidence of a weekend home with my family. This Monday, I am still sitting here in front of the computer amongst the mess and the clock is ticking, only 3 hours until the bus gets here, I best HURRY!

10. And finally, like so many of you, I am super thankful for blogging. This is my outlet, my time to escape and my place to say what I want, thanks for listening!

Who me?

Honest? Well I've been called a lot of things and this one is dead-on!

I tell it like it is, like it or not. Surprisingly most people do like it. There's no grey area with me. This could be considered a character flaw to some~but whatev!

So Kasey sent me this award and to be honest to date it's my favorite because like I said it's really me! Thanks Kasey you rock girl!

These are the requirement...
1. list 10 things about myself
2. share the award with others

Easy enough right, here we go...

1. I hate people that think they are superior to others! We all bleed red unless I "stupider" than I thought!

2. I could sit at the beach and do nothing for hours upon hours!

3. People watching is one of my favorite things to do. Although it does force me to be very judgmental not superior just judgmental.

4. If I was granted three wishes on of them would be to be able to sing. My husband thinks that's a waste but I hate not being able to carry a tune in a bucket! At a birthday party for Peanuts teacher Friday she was embarrassed of my singing. For real, my girls used to put their little baby hands on my mouth while I was rocking and singing them to sleep. It's beyond sad!

5. I use humor and sarcasm in almost every situation.

6. I lost my 2 front teeth in an accident when I was in the 2nd grade. Yes, they were my adult teeth that had just come in, it was an ugly site. Lets just say there are limited pictures of this then very anorexic looking, cowlick haired, ill fitting false teeth wearing little girl!

7. I knew I was going to be with my husband after just a few dates and I was only 16. That's just 2 years older than my daughter is now. Lord help her if she brings home her "future husband" in 18 months! 23 years and still going strong!

8. I have the need to be liked. If I even think someone doesn't like me it will drive me crazy. There's this lady at church and I swear I have done nothing but be nice to her and I don't think she'd pee on me if I were on fire. Perhaps she's just not a fan of my honesty!

9. I have a blood clotting condition. I'm supposed to wear these ever so sexy support hose every day~umm hello, I live in Florida and they are neither comfortable or fashionable~ I try to be good but I can't say that I have been for the past month or so~oops!

10. I have three dogs and love them like they're my children. The smell if their paws is on my top 100 things I love list~ let the judging commence!

I'm adding an 11th because this was one of Kasey's and I absolutely LOVE it!

11. Laundry is the devil. Is that not the truth!

Now I choose the girls below for this award...take it and spread the love girls!

Looking forward to Friend Makin' Monday tomorrow!

Happy Sunday Ya'll!

Awards, salmonella and comments oh my!

**Awards**

Today I received an award from two of my favorite bloggy-friends.

Kasey at All That Is Good and Rhonda from Down Memory Lane both gave me the Sisterhood Award~it reminds me of the Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants~

Thank you to both of my sweet bloggy-friends!

Now the rules are that I'm to choose 10 people to share this with. Well after a little investigating it seems that everyone I would give this to already has it. If I'm wrong, it has been known to happen a time or two,  please let me know and please consider this my official award giving ceremony to you!

Andrea-have you removed all of your awards?
Natalie- have you even posted the last award I gave you? (this may seem harsh to some of you but Nat is the ying to my yang I can be brutal to her)

**Salmonella**

So I'm wondering, if one was to say eat a package of peanut butter crackers, and lets take it a step further and say they happen to be the same brand peanut butter crackers as the ones on the National recall list, how long do you think it would take for that nasty little salmonella bug to reveal its cruel-heartless self?

A day

Maybe 2

How about 25

Does that seems feasible to you?

Well guess what?

It can happen and I'm proof.

My DH reminded me that I ate a package of those little devils the day we went canoeing~January 18th~

So did my daughter and she too has the "ick", she's going to see the doctor in 30 minutes and let me tell you the level of excited she is to go and talk about her poop to a doctor!

Oh joy!

Do you remember when every little thing was absolutely going to make you die of embarrassment?

I'm officially there...times 2...pray for me people...pray for me!

I can only imagine the tongue lashing I'm going to get when she reads this (I love you Honey!)

Bad Mom! Bad, bad, bad Mom! Please see previous post for address for all Mother-of-the Year nominations.

She hasn't had it as bad as I have but has had it longer. I guess when you're a 14 year old girl you just don't tell your Momma when you have the poops!

**Comments**

If you're new to my blog welcome and please leave me a comment letting me know you were here, I would love to hear from you.

If you're a returning friend (or my sister) thanks for coming back and please leave me a comment.

If you're a lurker...that's ok I still lave ya and would love it if you too left me a comment, please!

See the pattern here people? We bloggers love to hear from one another,we love to feel the love...come on don't be shy I know you want to!

Also, please link onto the people that I follow, they are wonderful woman with helpful tips, uplifting stories, things that will make you think and full of things that "Make Ya Go Hmm" (are you singing that song now?) "Things That Make Ya Go Hmm"

Robbie Rob- break it down!

If you don't leave me a comment I will make this face and hold it until my eyes stick like that.

Trust me, you don't want that guilt walking with you day after day!

Happy Thursday Ya'll!

And the award goes to....

I would like to thank all of the little people...

No I'm just teasing.

But I did get a pretty groovy award today!

And let me just tell you I have had myself one bad morning so this came at the perfect time!

In case any of you have ever wanted to know what reincarnated pig ass feels like just give me a call I'll tell you straight up ~ it ain't no fun! Do you know why I would do that for you? Because that's the kind of friend I am ~ yep as Nat would say, "that's how I roll"! You will never have to worry about walking down the gray road with me by your side because I'll tell ya how it is! You either love that about me or you don't and if you don't can I honest ~ it will drive me absolutely crazy ~ after all, I have no clue why someone would not want to be my friend! I am ALWAYS good for a laugh!

SO, back to the award because in case you didn't know ~ this blog is all about me!

My new bloggy-friend Kasey at All That Is Good has sent me an award! I really was blown away this morning while I was freezing my butt off ( something I could stand to do a little more of if ya know what I mean) running to purchase dog food for my three mouses ~ mouse-i ~ mouse~ dogs, and then to Publix to get the goods for the enchiladas I'm making for my girl and her friends tonight. I have apparently become the "Cool-Mom" and honestly I don't know if that's a good thing or not. They actually have taken their picture with me and put it on their My-Space pages. Well that's what they say they're doing with it. My face is probably life size in the school locker room and being used for target practice with their dirty gym uniforms! Ahhh the joy of parenthood!

Anyway, anyway, anyway...

Kasey sent me this adorable little lemonade stand because see has recognized the true genius that I am or as those that know me, know me, know me would say she has recognized the insanity that goes on inside my head! Whatever the reason she was generous enough to share her award with little 'ol me and for that I will be eternally grateful! I plan on taking the fame and fortune that will undoubtedly come with this award and use it to help create world peace or a decent cup of coffee that costs less than $5 and doesn't take waiting in line for 10 minutes to get ~ whichever!

So without any further ad0 here it is

ok on three...1 ~ 2 ~ 3 awwwwwwwhh

This award is for blogs that show great attitude and or great gratitude. I believe I was said to be "Super Sassy" so I'm guessing I fall under the attitude category ~ no big shocker there huh!

Now my job is to share the wealth! The rule is to share it with 10 bloggy-friends but honestly I don't have that many and I don't want to seem like some crazy-cyber-stalker. So I'm only going to share it with 5 bloggy-friends. Hopefully the longer I blog the more friends I will make, giving me the opportunity to share my next award with more people. So here are my recipients, in no particular order, and the rules of how to play nice with others.

1. Put the logo on your blog or post.

2. Nominate at least 10 blogs which show GREAT ATTITUDE and/or GRATITUDE
3. Be sure to link to your nominees within your post.
4. Let them know that they have received this award by commenting on their blog.
5. Share the love and link to this post and to the person from whom you received the award.

1. Natalie - The Brocks Rock
2. Andrea- My Chihuahua Bites
3. Kelly- Kelly's Korner
4. Anissa- Hope4Peyton
5. Big Mama- Big Mama

Now go forth my bloggy-friends and share the love!

I will leave you wondering just what made my day bad enough to be called R.P.A. I did take a few pictures so I will post about it tomorrow but for now I'm sick and off to sleep!
